Ternalloy T

Our highly versatile TERNALLOY T cadmium-free alloys can be used in all braze welding on steel, cast iron, copper (and copper alloy) and zinc (and zinc alloy). To facilitate penetration and capillarity, they must be used in combination with a flux (powder or paste) depending on the application.

The demand for this type of filler alloy has gradually grown in tandem with an increased awareness within industries (especially the food industry) of the hazards associated with alloys containing cadmium. This type of filler alloy can also be used in all braze welding on steel, cast iron, copper (and copper alloy) and zinc (and zinc alloy).

TERNALLOY S alloys are ternary alloys (Ag, Cu, Zn) with a higher working temperature than TERNALLOY T alloys. Some also contain silicon. This element enhances and increases the propensity of filler metals to form a concave and smooth connection at the junction of the brazed joint as it cools.

This type of filler alloy can also be used in all braze welding on steel, cast iron, copper (and copper alloy) and zinc (and zinc alloy).
