Ternalloy 6030 is a high zinc-free silver alloy with good penetration characteristics.
It is mainly used for brazing in a protected atmosphere furnace due to the absence of zinc (and other high evaporation elements). To avoid the evaporation of the silver by using it in a vacuum oven; it is advisable not to exceed by much the temperature of 900 ºC. When used in an oxidizing atmosphere, the use of a specific deoxidizer is required.
It is widely used for brazing stainless steel joints, when the working environment is characterized by humidity or the operating conditions are in contact with liquids (for example in seawater).
Typical applications are found e.g. in the electrical and air conditioning sector.
