Ternalloy 467 is an alloy mainly used for sterling silver. It has good ductility and good filling of mounted joints. Wetting action is relatively low on non-ferrous metals. It is sometimes used for brazing copper and copper alloys that will be drawn or processed after brazing. We recommend using a close-up color match with sterling silver. Ternalloy 467 is recommended for step brazing (step brazing is the brazing sequence of the joints on an assembly using a lower brazing annealing for each phase to avoid refracting joints already completed). It is suitable for longer heating cycles (e.g. brazing in the furnace) due to the low zinc content of this type of alloy for goldsmiths.
