Copper-phosphorus-silver alloy bars are usually used in the manufacture and maintenance of heat exchangers. The silver content depends on the pressure and tightness requirements of the joint as well as the mechanical resistance (vibration) requirements.
Copper-phosphorus rings are used for bends or small copper pipes; torch welding is preferred, although brazing in a controlled atmosphere furnace is sometimes used. For copper-brass junctions, we recommended using low-medium silver content alloys in bare or coated bars. Either powder or paste flux can be used or, in the case of standardised production, liquid flux with dispenser.
